Using TZO
makes it easier for other to connect to the MS
FlightSim 98 session that you are hosting. First we
describe how to connect to a FlightSim session and
then we describe how to host a
session.
To Enable
Internet Play, log on to the Internet and make sure
TZO is running. Start FlightSim 98, Click Multiplayer
as shown in the screen above.
Enter your name or call sign, and from the
Multiplayer Connect Screen shown above, click the
"JOIN" or "HOST" from the menu. Click the "NEXT"
button and go on to the next step.
If you are
joining a FlightSim 98 session, you use the dialog
bow below, the "Locate Session"
dialog box, the enter the TZO name our the IP address
to which you are connecting.
After you've
entered the TZO name or IP address of the session
host, you'll see
the following screen. Click on the game and then
click on JOIN and you'll be a
participant in that flight.
If you are hosting a session, follow the
instructions below.
When you host
a session you'll see the Multiplayer Connect Screen
shown below. Select your
session name and configure your "player" and
"observer" settings and then click on
"next."
On the screen
below click on Internet TCP/IP Connection for
DirectPlay and then click on HOST.
You will now be placed into the MS Flightsim game and
will be HOSTING a session. A chat window
located in the upper left corner of the screen will
appear and allow you to see players joining in.
Your
PC is now ready to HOST Flightsim 98 game at
yourname.tzo.com.
